Heal from Trauma and Chronic Stress with Evidence-Based Therapy
Trauma Therapy and EMDR Services

Trauma Therapy
I provide trauma-focused therapy that helps you process difficult experiences, understand the ways they continue to affect your thoughts, emotions, body, and relationships, and develop greater capacity for safety and connection. I draw from EMDR, parts work, and nervous-system-informed approaches to help you process experiences that may feel “stuck,” understand protective patterns with curiosity and compassion, and build greater emotional regulation and resilience. Treatment is individualized and paced carefully so you can move toward healing without feeling overwhelmed. Whether you’re dealing with a single traumatic experience, complex or relational trauma, anxiety, grief, or experiences that continue to affect your life in the present, we’ll work together to help you feel more grounded, connected, and able to move forward.

EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy that helps your brain process traumatic experiences and overwhelming memories. Using bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps your nervous system integrate difficult experiences so they no longer feel overwhelming in the present, reducing emotional intensity and building resilience.

Buzzkill Protocol for Behavioral Change
A specialized EMDR protocol designed to reduce cravings and eliminate unwanted behaviors such as addictions, compulsive behaviors, binge eating, skin-picking, and hair pulling. This targeted approach helps replace harmful patterns with healthy, adaptive behaviors.
About Erin

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in helping adults heal from trauma, addictive and compulsive behaviors, navigate anxiety and life transitions, manage chronic pain and stress-related conditions, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves. My practice is particularly focused on serving veterans, military families, first responders, healthcare professionals, high-achieving professionals, and women navigating midlife transitions, including perimenopause and menopause. Whether clients are struggling with the effects of past experiences, feeling overwhelmed by current demands, or simply sensing that something in their lives is no longer working, I provide a supportive and collaborative space for meaningful change.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent 20 years in marketing and proposal management in the Federal and Defense industries. I am also a retired military spouse. These experiences gave me firsthand insight into the challenges of balancing responsibility, performance, family demands, frequent transitions, and chronic stress. They also taught me that many capable, successful people carry invisible burdens that can leave them feeling exhausted, disconnected, or stuck. My goal is to help clients move beyond survival mode and reconnect with a greater sense of clarity, resilience, and fulfillment.
I believe therapy works best when it balances compassion with honest exploration and practical action. While healing often involves understanding the past, it also means creating new ways of relating to ourselves, our emotions, and the people around us. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel genuinely understood, appropriately challenged, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. Whether you are working through trauma, managing chronic pain, coping with burnout, adjusting to a major life transition, or seeking a deeper sense of self-understanding, I am honored to walk alongside you in that process.
My approach is grounded in the understanding that our minds, bodies, and nervous systems are deeply interconnected. I am trained in EMDR, parts-work approaches of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and ego state therapy, and Polyvagal-informed interventions, and I integrate these approaches to help clients process difficult experiences, understand protective patterns, regulate their nervous systems, and build lasting emotional flexibility. I have a particular interest in the relationship between trauma, chronic stress, chronic pain, and physical symptoms, helping clients understand how their life experiences may be affecting both emotional and physical well-being.
